My partner has dementia and it became necessary for him to receive some Respite Care at The Firs. First impressions of the outside are that it is a little shabby however I could not fault the care and attention he was given. The staff are attentive and helpful and helped his stay go as smoothly as possible, I would have absolutely no qualms about him staying there again. His visitors were welcomed and given drinks and biscuits, overall it was a very positive experience.

The level of care outweighed my first impressions of the location. The level of empathy and warmth shown by all the staff to my father made his respite stay very comfortable. Excellent communication and dedication from the whole management team throughout his stay.

The staff are very pleasant and always attentive to my sister. Any issues that come up, they try to resolve immediately with great care. The home creates a safe, comforting and truly friendly atmosphere for all residents.

My Mum has dementia and has been a resident of The Firs since July 2025 and has settled in very well. The care team treats her with dignity, warmth and exceptional attention to her daily routine.

My mother has not been at the home very long but we are very happy with her care so far. All the staff are welcoming, professional and always keep us updated on her progress.

The Firs Residential Care Home are caring and understanding. They put my father's best interests first at all times and provide genuine, personalised support with tremendous compassion.

My sister has been a resident since May 2023, she lives with dementia. Since moving to The Firs, her quality of life and happiness have improved noticeably thanks to the dedicated carers.
